Down Disco Cakes and Sing Your Heart Out at This Beyoncé-Themed Brunch in Houston

Union Kitchen is pulling out all the stops with Blue Ivy blueberry muffins and Heated chicken and waffle sliders to celebrate the upcoming premiere of Queen Bey’s Renaissance concert film
Houston welcomed Beyoncé, the city’s own hometown icon, with a bevy of drink specials, pop-up events, and dining shindigs to prepare for her tour stop at NRG Stadium in September, and with the upcoming worldwide premiere of her concert film Rennaissance: A Film by Beyoncé on Friday, December 1, Union Kitchen is preparing yet another celebration for Beyhivers.
All five of Union Kitchen’s outposts, including its locations in Memorial, Oak Forest, Cypress, Katy, and Kingwood, will host a family-friendly Queen Bey-themed brunch this Saturday, December 2, complete with honeycomb-topped cocktails and spirited brunch fare soundtracked by the songstress’s full music catalog.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., diners can expect Blue Ivy blueberry muffins served with blueberry compote, stacks of the Disco Cakes pancakes topped with colorful sprinkles and housemade honey butter, and Heated hot honey chicken tenders and waffle sliders, topped with honeycomb and served with hashbrowns. Plenty of themed cocktails will be on offer for the 21-and-up crowd, including a Destiny’s Child Bubbles Board — a trio of champagne, prosecco, and sparkling rosé, and the vodka-based Beyhive, a combination of elderflower liqueur, black tea syrup, lemon, and fresh honeycomb. Reservations are encouraged.
The local restaurant chain has created a reputation for celebrating fandoms this year. Earlier this year, it similarly featured a Barbie-themed brunch in celebration of the Barbie movie premiere and a Taylor Swift brunch around the time of the pop star’s tour stop in Houston.
