DOT allows JetBlue to stop flying to IAH, other airports amid Covid-19 pandemic

JetBlue Airways Corp. received approval from the U.S Department of Transportation to temporarily suspend service to Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The JetBlue (Nasdaq: JBLU) last week petitioned the DOT for an exemption to its service obligations under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, or CARES Act. It requested to halt flights at IAH and multiple other U.S. airports as demand for flying dives during the Covid-19 outbreak.
