Don’t Be Scared Of Will Levis Because Of Zach Wilson. He Can Be Elite. Here’s Why.

Look, we’re not getting Bryce, so we need to consider all the other prospects.

The last extremely talented raw quarterback prospect was Zach Wilson, this is why this community is scared of Will Levis. Will Levis is also extremely talented but raw, like Zach Wilson.

But let’s look at the past 5 or so years and find the extremely talented raw QB prospects that have become not only franchise QB’s but the most elite in the game.

Josh Allen / Justin Herbert / Patrick Mahomes / Lamar Jackson / Deshaun Watson (He WAS elite)

These QB’s were mostly considered “raw but talented” by a majority of draft analysts. You heard words like “potential” and “project”. NONE of these QB’s were slam dunk prospects.

I mean if Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes was a prospect in this years draft, this fan base would be making a mistake and saying “NO DON’T DO IT”

Now, let’s look at some “safe” QB’s over the years

Josh Rosen / Sam Darnold / Tua Tagovailoa (“Safer” than Herbert) Mitchell Trubisky (Go read, he was considered a “safe” pick) Dwayne Haskins (“Safest” QB that year) Mac Jones (“Safe and pro ready”)

A LOT of “safe” QB’s don’t pan out

Drafting QB is hard. There is no safe pick other than slam dunks (Luck / Burrow / Lawrence)

Wilson, from reporting and stories, does not grind or care that much. The raw talented guys that have succeeded were hard workers who were intelligent.

So let’s as a fan base wait for reporting to see if Levis has a work ethic and has a high football IQ.

If he is a hard worker and smart then he is Matt Stafford and we should grab him. He’s a freak that I think will run a high 4.6, lightning release, cannon arm, huge hands.
