Domestic violence in Houston

A man stabbed his wife to death this morning in Katy.

A man shot his wife, their 4 year old daughter, and his wife’s mom yesterday morning in Cypress.

F**k. I escaped a DV situation in 2013 when he pulled a knife on me and my 4 year old, and I still have nightmares about that sick SOB. This stuff in the news yesterday and today really hits home.

If you suspect someone is in a situation like this, don’t judge them. Be a supportive friend and don’t take it personal when they go back or don’t listen to your advice. It’s so hard. Just encourage them that if they leave, life will absolutely get better one day at a time.
