Dog Walking Etiquette

I've lived in this city for 30 years and have had no issues walking dogs until I moved into Riverside Terrace. Since I've lived in this neighborhood (1 year), I've had 3 neighbors yell at me when my dogs pee on their front lawn. I do my best to try and avoid my dogs peeing on lawns, plants, trees or on cars, but it happens. I always carry poop bags and clean up after them.

I'm struggling to understand why folks are so aggressive about dogs peeing on their front lawns. Especially when nearly all lawns are St. Augustine grass, which are nearly unaffected by dog urine. I stick to the sidewalks (if available), carry poop bags, and do my best to avoid plants, trees & cars.

What's the proper dog walking etiquette? Should I stick to only walking my dogs on trails & streets?
