Dog recently passed away. Where can I donate his toys and medicine (individually wrapped pills)?

I also have canned food. Does BARC take medicine? I have to imagine that orgs like that may have safety regulations that prevent them from accepting food/medicine as donations. The medicine is Trifexis (flea meds) that cost $25 a pill and I'd hate to just toss them.
