Does Mo on Netflix get better?

When I heard that a Houston based show was coming to Netflix I was hyped. I’m stuck on episode 3 and I’m forcefully watching it at this point, the acting is not very good, they way they shove Houston culture in your face is excessive and kinda cringe, and all the white people in the show are hillbillies… does it get better?
