Does it make sense for a team to trade for Watson right now?

Just a random thought, probably not thinking it through all the way. But what if teams decide that they'd rather wait until after the NFL completes its investigation and what punishment they decide before taking on Watson's contract? If he gets 6 games or a whole season, wouldn't they rather him be on our books and paying that instead of taking it on themselves?
