Does going solar maker sense?

Just purchased a new built home 2 months ago..

Had a sit down with a rep from LUMIO. We were quoted $31K for a 700kWh solar panel set after federal incentives which comes out to ~.02/watt

Per my quick research, power providers are slowly pulling out of a 1:1 net metering payment plan. On top of that my current provider (MP2 SHELL) only pays the wholesale rate.

So does solar still make sense without the retail net metering if companies do remove that incentive down the line?
