Does anyone know the name of this politician?

On the news some months ago, there was this politician who made a proposal/plan for minority (BIPOC) studies to be mandatory in schools. I think she's Hispanic. I'm doing a summer project and really wanted to use part of her proposal as a reference, but I can't remember her name or find her in my bookmarks.
