Does anyone know if you can request a discretionary defensive driving course for a traffic violation online instead of in person?

My last defensive driving course taken was around 11 months ago

I had plan to go to my court date and ask the judge for a discretionary defensive driving to deal with a traffic ticket.

However, it might be a little tough for me to take out a big chunk of my morning to go to court, depending on how busy it is.

Does anyone know if in Harris County or Fort bend, I could request a discretionary defensive driving course online or through email? I know that usually this option is only available in person but I also know that in the last couple of years, courts in Houston seem to allow you to do a lot of things online or in email
