Does anyone here have experience with starting a fundraiser?

Covid cases have been steadily rising lately, especially since school has started back. Me and a few friends were looking to start raising money for air purifiers, with the goal of donating them to local schools to reduce classroom transmission. Only problem is we don’t know where to start. So does anyone here know how to set one up?
