Does anyone have any good stories about Dean’s Credit Clothing pre-makeover?

I have a few good (albeit foggy) memories of the old Dean’s on Main Street pre-2013. I recall playing chess with the bartenders, smoking indoors even after the smoking ban, and an after hours party spot upstairs with various art installations. I’ve heard pretty wild stories from other people about that place, but was hoping the larger r/houston also might have some interesting ones to tell.
