Does anyone else have such a hard time finding a Doctor in Houston?

So I haven’t gone to a regular doctors appointment since high school and now it’s been a few years since I graduated college. I figured it’s time I start scheduling regular appointments with a GP.

I’ve gone through my insurance website (United Healthcare) and called pretty much every doctor inside the loop I see on the map for General Practitioners, and every one either does not exist, is no longer in Houston, is not accepting new patients, or focuses on a different specialty.

Anyone know if there is a better way to go about this? Maybe I’m being dumb and doing it wrong, but I feel like it should be way easier to find a doctor in my area.
