Dodgers bought their championship
I don’t get /r/baseball’s over-joyment with the Dodgers. I get that Freeman and Mookie are likeable, but holy hell is that an unlikeable team with Kike, Kelly, and Kershaw.
Now there’s a lot of attention that this Dodgers team won with the most injuries of all time – of course they did, they literally brought in Buehler, Flaherty, Yamamoto, Mookie, Freeman, Ohtani (which will probably cause some changes in our abused deferment rules) to cover for those injuries. They even consider not having Ohtani to pitch as injury.
Meanwhile 2017 was stolen in the minds of Dodger fans, while 2024 is totally unearned. It’s amazing their cash hadn’t brought them even more success outside of this year and 2020.
I know these views would not be appreciated in r/baseball, but I just needed to vent a little.
