Doctors/psychiatrists that will continue ADHD treatment?

I just moved to Houston from out of state, and I’m trying to find a provider that will continue prescribing my ADHD meds. I was diagnosed years ago and have been taking the same dose of my meds for a long time, so I really just need some service that will continue writing the prescription.

Despite having a diagnosis from a psychiatrist associated with my old university, I just saw one provider who told me they would need me to (1) do a urine drug test (which presumably is to see if I’m abusing amphetamines but since I’m already taking medication seems useless?); (2) get a full lab work blood test (despite my just having had one a few months ago and the fact that it has nothing to do with ADHD); (3) obtain records from all of my prior psychiatrists and therapists; (4) get an ECG (despite having no heart issues in my family and the fact that I had one two years ago); (5) have a close friend or family member fill out a lengthy form describing my behavior and patterns since childhood; and (6) take FOUR different online evaluations and tests to make sure I really have ADHD despite my diagnosis from my old university psychiatrist, including one that requires I don’t drink coffee or take my meds for at least THREE DAYS before taking it, which isn’t really feasible given my caffeine addiction and the fact I have an intense job.

Suffice to say, I’m looking elsewhere. I was expecting to have to jump through some hoops to show I’m diagnosed etc., but this seems absurd. Does anyone know any providers in the Houston area who are able to do medication management without making patients fulfill meaningless requirements? I understand ADHD meds are commonly abused, and I’m totally okay providing documentation and talking through my symptoms and so forth.

I was thinking about trying an online provider, but I read that they’re kind of sketchy and pharmacies sometimes won’t fill scripts from there. I don’t mind having to go in person if necessary, but it would be great to find a provider who can write a prescription after my first visit. I’m now unfortunately in a bit of a time fix. I had to wait a month for the appointment I just had and so I’m going to run out of my meds in the next few weeks.
