Do you think Centerpoint repairs will hold for the next storm?

I'm not sure what the quality of repairs they have done are like. I feel like they were doing whatever they could to get their repair rate metrics to look better. I work in the maintenance industry and know the tricks to get the numbers to look good. That usually means unreliable fixes. Band aid solutions that will fail at the faintest thunder storm.

My concern is that a lot of these fixes won't hold and people will lose power with basic rain storms. (Not even hurricanes).

Who knows? Maybe the reason the power grid was so impacted this time was due to carry-over shoddy repair during the derecho storm.

Im not willing to find out though. All I know is that I'm investing in a portable generator setup for my main breaker panel. Electrical and gas hookup with a main interlock. Centerpoint can rot in hell for how they did Houston.
