Do you recycle? Is it convenient or worth it in Houston?

Just a few months ago I stopped buying plastic water bottles. Bought a $12 reusable 5 gallon container, that I fill up for $1.50 at a grocery store. I now pay 75% less for water, but I'm more glad I'm not buying plastic water bottles anymore

I want to keep going though. Are there convenient outlets to recycle in Houston? Does it all go to landfills anyway? What would actually be repurposed? I am hoping at least glass, paper, cardboard, old wires/electronics should be straight forward?
