Do y’all know much about draft pick trade value?
I have done a little research but I'm not an expert on it. Apparently each pick has a value attached to it. When you want to trade back, or forward, you can sometimes measure the cost of what it could be. Apparently teams use this method when considering trading during the draft.
For example, if the Texans wanted to trade back from pick 40, which is valued at 500, they could trade with LA to get their pick at 57 (330) and 84 (170). So essentially trade back in 2nd and get an extra 3rd.
This is a pretty good resource on it: https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp?RequestTeam=Hou
