Do the cops here bother catching drivers that don’t have a front license plate?

I know you're supposed to have it by law, but I have always seen a bunch of drivers without one including my friend who has done it for many years, so looks like it's not a concern for many.

what's the likelihood of cops catching and fine for this, and do they even care if we don't have one?
