Do people still meet up together?

I used to work at a certain German restaurant years back and every month or so we would have a group of local Redditors who would meet there for brews, food, and laughs.

They were my favorite group to serve and I looked forward to whenever I knew they’d be coming.

I was wondering if this is still a thing? Getting older and now working remotely has shut me off socially almost entirely so I’d really like to make more and new friends but in a larger and public setting.
