Do I Need a Car for a Summer Internship at UH?
I've never been to Houston before, but I got accepted into a summer internship at the University of Houston. I'll be living on-campus, but I hear Houston has a great food scene and it seems wrong to be eating at the college cafeteria. However, I also hear Houston is pretty bad for biking or public transportation (especially in the summer), and I worry that I might need to buy a car to reliably make it to good restaurants or the grocery store. What do you all think? Other than buying food I don't think I'll need to leave campus much. Is the college in a spot where I could make do without a car, or is it kind-of required to have one?
