Do drivers here really not understand pedestrian right of way when the crosswalk signal is on?
This is the 2nd time in the past 3 months where a driver honked at me while I was legally using the crosswalk.
This time, I was crossing San Felipe from Winrock (south to north). I waited for the crosswalk signal to turn white so I could cross legally and then some asshole who's trying to turn right blasts their horn at me while I'm walking in the crosswalk. I stopped and pointed at the crosswalk signal across the street that clearly showed it was active. I made a quick comment that the crosswalk signal is on and then I continued on my way. I can't remember where the first incident happened, but basically the same thing happened, and it makes me question what's wrong with driver's ed.
I'm normally driving most of the time, so maybe this is more frequent than I'm aware of. I hear car lovers always grouse about pedestrians being 'distracted' or not using the crosswalk, but even when you do everything right, you get honked at. Does anyone else see or experience this?
