Do any of you guys have any experience with switching apartment units?

Less than a month a go I moved into my first apartment. Everything about it is nice but my upstairs neighbors are driving me insane. The floor has to be very weak because I hear their every step. It’s a specific spot on the floor that is extremely loud. I’ve lived in apartments all my life and I’ve never been through noise like this. The worst part about it is the loud noise is centered in my bedroom and I work nights. I’m been getting woken up constantly by the floor/ my ceiling making noises.

I really want to go ask the apartment complex to switch me to another unit but idk if they will. I’ve never been through this before so I don’t know how to approach it. I don’t want to file a noise complaint or go to my neighbors because I don’t think they’re doing this on purpose. I genuinely believe it’s the apartment and not the neighbors. Please give me some advice.

I’ve looked through the lease and I couldn’t find anything that addresses the situation.
