Discover the Best Cafes in Houston (Beta – Help Shape the Web App!)

Hey Houston friends!

I’ve been working on a small project called Bean Scene, a beta app to help you find cafes around Houston based on the vibe you’re looking for: study spots, work-friendly spaces, cozy corners to relax, or even cute spots for dates.

Right now, the MVP lets you:

• See all cafes in Houston
• Check in anonymously to add vibes, tags, photos, and reviews

The twist? The community brings it to life. The more people participate, the richer each cafe profile becomes.

Since this is a beta version, some things may still be rough or broken, bear with me as I walk through changes! Feedback is super helpful and can be shared either here in the comments or directly through the app, whichever is easier for you.

Long-term vision: Beyond just maps and reviews, I want Bean Scene to bring the local community together, moving from screens to real-life connections, discover great spaces, meet like-minded people, and make Houston’s Cafe scene more social.
