Dinner Recommendations (comfort food)

I am looking for some suggestions for dinner. I would prefer it to not be Mexican and it to be comfort food based. I’m not worried about budget per se but I am good with hole in the wall cheap to maybe $40 per person. I can’t think of exactly what I want but sandwiches, potatoes, gravies, and cheeses are what I’m looking for. Any suggestion is welcomed!
