Did I overreact? Weird situation

Posting in this subreddit because it happened in Houston.

I was on my way home when I pulled up to a red light. A car next to me pulled into the left turn lane and we both waited for the light to turn green.

Once the light turned green I drove forward but the car in the left turn lane changed their mind and drove behind me.

I found that to be interesting but I didn't think much of it and continued to drive home. I reached the left turn that goes into my apartment and the car followed me into the complex. This was when I started to get suspicious.

The car followed closely behind me. Now I normally make a right turn into a dead end to reach my apartment but I was concerned so I made a left instead.

My apartment is set up so that I can make left turns indefinitely. The car followed me for two left turns and then stopped following me.

I then went to my parking spot and went inside without incident.

So my question to you is did I overreact and would you have done the same thing?
