Did Cam really just say that?

I know this is slightly off topic for a Texans sub but what in the world has Cam Newton just said about Watson?

“I’ve grown to admire the person, the athlete that he is”

The person? Seriously?

I’ve never really been a big fan of Cam and lately his attempts to get back on a team have been a little bit cringeworthy at times but this line takes the cake.

His latest video is now saying that he is willing to be a backup to a specific list of players. I think this might backfire for him and I hope that teams will see straight through his attempts to get another pay day and he never takes another snap again.
