Did anyone else go through a spooky crawlspace exhibit at the Houston Space Center in the early 2000s?
Alright—I know this happened, and I’m hoping someone else remembers it too.
Somewhere around 2004 to 2006, I visited the Houston Space Center as a kid. There was this spooky/science-fiction kind of exhibit—almost like a haunted house. You started in a room where they played a video intro, and then went into a series of dark corridors that connected different themed rooms.
The wild part is there were two separate paths: one for adults to walk through, and one for kids to crawl through. It was super immersive.
I remember at least two rooms clearly—one had an alien, and the other had a yeti or some kind of abominable snowman. It was creepy in a fun way, kind of like a Halloween attraction, but it felt more space-themed.
This isn’t Galaxy Frights—that didn’t exist yet. I’m thinking maybe it was a traveling exhibit or a seasonal thing they hosted back then.
If you remember this or have any clue what it was, I’d love to hear about it. I know I’m not crazy—this thing was real.
