developments amenable to elderly couple? strategies for the property hunt?
Texan boomer parents looking to move out of their place in Austin, which is practically on top of a highway, lacking in trees, and being encroached upon by so not so salubrious elements. Any suggestions for Houston areas or developments that have a lot of trees/green/walking areas and are amenable to elderly residents, i.e. have an active community/community center? I live out of country and am struggling to figure out strategies to help them narrow down the issue. They ask me to look at developments through YouTube, but they all look pretty similar/generic to me. [ I know Woodlands, Sugarland and Katy are mentioned a lot, but those are pretty broad. I think they lean to Katy for reduced flood risk but all I remember of Katy was a vast tree-less flat lands with enormous parking lots of nothing]
