Despite a recent post, I actually think CenterPoint has done a fantastic job.
The morning after Hurricane Nicholas (Cat 1 storm by 1 mph, not Cat 3, which I saw commented earlier), CenterPoint was reporting over 440,000 customers without power. By the time I went to bed Tuesday night, it was less than 90,000. CenterPoint restored power to over 350,000 customers in one day. That seems tremendous to me.
It now stands at just over 34,000. As was said, what is left is issues impacting 1 or 2 customers, and problems caused by significant damage that requires time to fix. It might be a little slower going now, but the first day got power back to a lot of people.
