Dental companies and plan experience. Is Anyone in Houston covered by anay companies on the list?
Was looking to get dental insurance before the deadline coming up but wanted to see if I can get some insight on the available companies I have to choose from. I had Blue Cross Blue Shield oof Texas before, Like a year ago, but some stuff still seemed out of my price range even with insurance applied, and that's paying a little more on the premium. Just curio, are people paying hundreds a month to be able to get good dental coverage? I thing I was paying around $40 a month but eventually let it expire since the few dentists wanted to force me to get an additional bone graph after having one of my top wisdom teeth removed. The other side was removed without the bone gragh and I'm fine after a few years. My insurance covered the removal but the bone graph was out of pocket. I declined. Sucked!
Anyway, I was hoping people here could share there experiences with the following companies. Procedures I'll be needing done are wisdom tooth/teeth removal, root canal and possible crown, rework on a crown that had to get filled down after coming out from time to time, which created a small gap that food gets stuck in (was perfect initially, other than popping out) and a dental implant.
The list is:
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas
BEST Life
Delta Dental PPO
DeltaCare USA
DentalQueast USA Ins Co, Inc.
DentalTrust
EMI Healt
Guadian
Humana
Renaissance Health of Texas, Inc.
TRUASSURE INSURANCE CO
For what it's worth, the premiums rand from $8 to $64 and the deductibles don't show. I guess I would have to look through brochures. This is also through the marketplace
Thanks to all who can help!
