Defensive Coordinator Thoughts

I know RAC is a great guy and great defensive mind. But the guy is 72 years old. I’m curious if his age is hurting him. I know mobile quarterbacks aren’t a new thing but guys like Watson, Mahomes, and Jackson are changing the league. Tight Ends like the Gronks and Kelces are hard to defend. Players like these weren’t around in RACs prime. Over the past few years the league has really begun to shift.

Is it possible that Romeos defense is becoming a bit outdated? Could his great defensive mind just not have the best answers for the new NFL? I started to wonder if the league should start searching for Defensive Coordinators from college teams? They are obviously dealing with more of the “new” play style that has entered the NFL.

What do you think? Is Romeos best days behind him? And do you think a possible replacement for him should be a up and comer from college or a “safe hire” from another team? Who would you like to see run the defense next?
