Decent halfway point between Pasadena and Katy?

My spouse and I are hoping to buy a house by the end of the year but we work on opposite sides of the city. Both $100k+ jobs so getting a different job isn't really an option. We're hoping to find somewhere that's roughly an even drive for each of us. We've been eyeballing Missouri City but I'm wondering if there are other decent areas we can look at. We've only been in Houston a couple years so we're not super familiar with the neighborhoods outside of our own. Price range would be $300-$400k, no kids so schools aren't a priority. Thanks
