Data Evidence

Is there any data evidence that a 6 man rotation is more effective in the long run in keeping pitchers healthy or improving performance?

From a logical point of view it seems like wrong to start 6 pitchers when 3 of them are unproven minor leaguers starters. If this staff was healthy and our 6th starter was Urquidy or McCuellers, where a quality start is probable, I am fine with the strategy but right now the the strategy seems flimsy.

Also if the bullpen is waning why don't you use Framber tonight, to eat innings and run Blanco on a night with JP and or Beilak.
