Dashcam suggestions – Single or dual cam? VIOFO, etc…

In the market for a dashcam – Have it narrowed down to the VIOFO models but can anyone speak on how well they handle Houston heat? Since front license plates are required here a rear camera would be nice esp since I’ve seen one too many fender benders.

The models I'm considering:

• A119 V3 + cheaper rear cam

• A129 duo (non 4k) – I am worried that the 1080p quality isn’t as good as the 2k quality of A119 so if someone runs off I don’t get there license plate.

• This A129 2k model – I'm a bit worried since it looks like a new product

Any advice? Not looking at the 4K because it’s over budget and I hear they run very hot.
