Darius Slay and Jurrell Casey

Is it just me or do we never make shrewd trades like this. Those two players are arguably top 3 in the nfl at their positions and are massive needs for us yet their respective teams traded them for pennies on the dollar in which we could have afforded. I get Tennessee might be reluctant to trade within the division but slay played for Detroit in the nfc.
