Dana Cortez show on 96.5 is the Worst

Title says it all. Its unfortunate because 96.5 has the best music. We used to enjoy our mornings taking our small children to school listening to pop music with the playful banter of Jessie Watt and Sarah Pepper. They talked pop culture, trivia, award shows, and Houston happenings. That show felt lively, warm, and genuine.

Now, the show has been replaced with The Dana Cortez Show which is the most weird and disingenuous show I’ve ever heard. Everytime the show is on, they are acting out a manufactured and scripted segment called “Down in the DMs” where they pretend to be catching someone in an unfaithful situation. By now, most everyone knows skits like these are manufactured and actors are playing the characters. It is terrible. I don’t understand why the station is making us suffer through this show. We went from a morning show that felt like Glee to a show that feels like Cheaters or To Catch a Predator. I don’t know why they keep doing these skits like they’d fool anyone to believe there are enough of these callers to provide content every single day. Does Dana Cortez just want to pretend to be a relationship expert?

I still want to tune into the station because I like their music, but holy crap this show is bad.
