Daily dose of Yordan (game 21)

At bat 1: 6 pitch strikeout looking

At bat 2: 5 pitch strikeout looking

At bat 3: 3 pitch hit by pitch

At bat 4: 5 pitch strikeout swinging

A bit of a late release on this DDoY, I had to scrub through the game broadcasts to analyze some of his strikeouts for a second time. Obviously while the box score line doesn't look pretty, it definitely looked like he was tracking and knew what pitches were in and out of the zone, he just didn't capitalize. Yordan has these games where it's obvious that he sees the ball, but he's just passive. Today was one of those days, as evidenced by his second at bat, where he didn't even lift the bat off his shoulder. Overall while it was a disappointing game, he still was recognizing and analyzing the pitches, he just didn't do much with them. Hopefully next game he capitalizes, as he's definitely getting good pitches.
