Current Houston Real Estate Market

Hi friends! My wife and I are looking to buy a house soon (within the next year or so preferably). Can anyone who’s in the market right now comment on the general state of affairs locally? Are houses selling quickly for way over listing price? Are things mostly sane besides the high prices?
