Curly Hair Salon

I recently booked an appointment with Planet Curls for next week since the Google reviews were all very positive. After I booked it, I saw some people on Reddit saying the salon wasn’t very good and that it should be avoided. I have very thick natural hair type 3c-4a. I just want to go to a salon that can help me understand my hair better and give me a nice cut that I don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for. Does anyone have any suggestions?
