Curious about Oil/Gas job security, especially LNG

Hey y'all, Houston native but I've never worked in O&G. I'm interviewing with a large LNG company for an analyst role and I'm wondering if LNG is safer in terms of job security/layoffs.

Do you avoid O&G jobs in general? Are the layoffs generally for operators/field techs or does it affect corporate as well?
