Cruise industry’s return to Galveston to get the port, tourism back on course

“Obviously, the Port of Galveston is an economic generator for the county of Galveston and the city of Galveston,” said Rodger Rees, port director and CEO of the Port of Galveston. “When we lost the cruise business, we lost about 65% of our revenues. So the biggest concern for me was to be able to go back to cruising safely.”
