Crazy Insurance rates in Houston

I was born in Houston, huge Texans fan, but I moved away to the east coast when I was young. I don’t know the area super well but do plan on moving back at some point in my life.

I’m an insurance broker and have been helping people in the Houston area save on their home insurance. Premiums are insane right now. I mean the average is around $6,000-7,000 in Houston while where I live now in NC is about $2,000.

Honest question, what the hell is the weather like there. A lot of wind and hail I assume? Just want to understand the situation better.
