Crawfish Season

One of my spots said that they were thinking they were stay open til the end of May if the weather holds. Does that sound right as the End of Crawfish season to everyone else? I know at some spots it's all year round, but after the real crawfish season ends, shells tend to get harder, the crawfish start getting smaller again, and some places will straight up start selling frozen, and no one wants that.
