Could the Texans Frontload D4’s payday?

Totally serious – I know it doesn’t happen often (last big deal like this I can think of was Revis and the Bucs,) but from a cap perspective this would make a ton of sense.

He’s the most expensive player on the field, but he would become less so as the years pass by. It would give us more cash to surround him with talent without having to sacrifice his money.

I know that the smaller numbers toward the back end can mean a greater likelihood of being cut later on – but it’s Deshaun fucking Watson we’re talking about. I can’t imagine him wearing another uniform besides ours.

So, could this happen?
