Could Michael Mayer be our QB’s go-to tight end?
Seems to me a top quality tight end can be an even better friend to a QB than a star WR. It’s also pretty accepted practice to draft or trade for a str receiver in a rookie QB’s 2nd/3rd year. I fully expect Demeco to turn things around, but we could still end up with 5-6 wins at most behind a rookie QB. Meaning they’d have a real shot at Marvin Harrison Jr. If we gave a QB (Bryce Young or Stroud) Mayer and Harrison, it could lead to something special. Especially when we still have the Browns picks (mid to late FRPs) to use on the big boys.
(just listened to mcshay on Russillo’s podcast. They really sold me on Young and Mayer.)
