Contractors / hobby woodworkers, where do you buy your lumber?

Hey contractors and hobbyists of Houston, where do you buy your lumber from?

I'm looking into trying my hand at building a few garage cabinets and fixing some things around the house/yard. Basically jobs that are too small for any professionals to tackle. Home Depot or Lowe's is always an option, but I'd rather support smaller or more niche businesses if I can.

Is there anyplace in the Houston area I can buy a small amount of decent quality plywood, project boards, molding, fence pickets, etc. without having to take a second mortgage out on my house?
