Conspiracy Theory Or Standard Practice?
A close family friends 2022 Ram 2500 was stolen while on vacation from a Houston hotel near the airport. He went to the police, showed them on the app where his truck was because it still relayed location.
The cops said they “don’t do that. The truck is gone.”
Insurance paid for the loss, so they’re fine. But he’s convinced the cops are in on it to get a kickback for whatever they sell the stolen truck for.
Personally I just think Houston PD has bigger fish to fry.
Is this a norm in Houston in either direction?
