Conspiracy Theory #281713
There is a lot of speculation that the Texans are either Bryce or Bust or may even not be interested in taking a QB at the top at all. This could be another plume of smoke but I am trying to connect dots It’s Always Sunny Meme style.

Demeco was signed to a 6 year contract which means that he is in absolutely no rush to pick a QB is he isn’t 100% sold. He watched Kyle Shanahan pass on QB after QB to build the team on defense and more predominantly, the trenches. Why would he want to take a QB at number 2 if he feels that the value isn’t there? He has time on his side. Also being from Alabama he may be interested in Bryce but if he is gone then he may value taking one of the defensive prospects or trading out.

Caserio knows that he needs to draft a QB in order to extend his window. If he doesn’t get one, his days are numbered. This is potentially the reason why we are hearing that he could go back to New England from the media. Who do you think put that out? Caserio either wants power to take a QB at 2 no matter what, a new contract to match the length of time that Demeco has or else he is out.
It is funny to look back at the Caserio hire and remember thinking that with his Patriots connections and the multi year plan to bring him to Houston there is no way the bond between he and the McNairs could be usurped. Nobody took into consideration that we would bring back a former first round pick and team legend.
Also remember, if there was ever a team to make a conspiracy theory come true, it is Houston. This is obviously reading into a lot and pulling things together that likely are not connected in any way but I think its more interesting than another Bryce or CJ post. If you made it this far, Jeffery Epstein didn’t kill himself.
